Meditation is a practical exercise for being present and knowing how you feel. There are various positions and types of meditation, each with its benefits. This blog post will cover a traditional meditative way of sitting and focusing on breathing in and out.
For beginners, the following are the steps to start meditating.
1: Find a Quiet place for 10 minutes meditation:
Meditation requires a silent place where no one can disturb you while you focus on yourself. When we use meditation, our minds wander; mind wandering while meditating is normal. You can sit in a garden, or a quiet room or join a local meditation group to have professional eyes looked after.
2: Make yourself comfortable for 10 minutes meditation:
Relax your body by sitting on the ground or table, making sure there is no pressure on your body. This is meditation; you will spend 10 minutes in the same position.
3:Start meditation:
Now, it is time to start the meditation flow. At the same time, you are sitting close to your eyes so that you can focus on the breath. Focus on your breathing, and feel what you feel while breathing. After a few seconds, your mind will start wandering, which is natural to wander mind. You don’t need to judge yourself. Instead, be kind to yourself. Once you feel that your mind is wandering, redirect your mind to focus on the breath in and out until you are done with 10 minutes meditation.
This way, your muscle of focus on the present will improve, which will help you focus on hands-on work while neglecting distractions. As a beginner, you cannot concentrate fully for 10 minutes, but strengthen your focusing muscles daily. Have you tried meditation before?
